Inviting primary and secondary schools across the UK!

Posted in: Education

Business on the Move is a brand new educational board game, designed to excite and inspire pupils from 9-19 years old about the world of business and, in particular, about how the global supply chain works.

Following successful trials during 2011-12, we are now inviting teachers to register your school to receive free copies (worth up to £180) during the next academic year 2013-14.

We are two former teachers ourselves and are currently raising the business sponsorship we need to make this happen. Despite difficult economic times, business leaders are supporting with both praise and funding our vision of supplying nearly half the initial production run free into UK schools. The game board will feature sponsors’ brands, creating the enhanced realism that over 500 young people told us they want to see. Case studies of featured businesses will also be available for teachers to download to follow-up playing the game, making Business on the Move much more than just a game, more a platform for learning.

Of course, the provision of over 1,300 free games (with a limit of 3 free games per school) does depend on sufficient sponsorship being raised by the end of July 2013, but current projections are positive on this score. Preference will be given to sponsors’ local communities and these are already spread over much of the country. It is, likewise, intended to run a series of training events up and down the UK to ensure teachers are able to maximise the learning that comes out of the game.

It could not be easier to register your school. Just fill in the details at the bottom of this blog page and keep an eye on our progress through the website. Your details will not be published, your school’s location will simply be shown on our map. Subject to sponsors’ wishes, the earlier you register, then the greater the chances of your school receiving (a) free game(s).

Are you a parent who thinks this would be a great tool for your child? Why not email or tweet this blog to them and let them know the progress we’re making.

Good luck!
