Visitors to Multimodal 2015, April 28-30 at the NEC, are being invited to take part in the UKWA Multimodal Challenge by playing a specially adapted ‘speed version’ of Business on the Move at the UKWA Pavilion at the Show.
Players will be competing head to head to make the most profit they can – within 15 minutes. Playing against the clock they will have to balance delivering lucrative long-distance orders with smaller but quicker deliveries nearer to base.
There will be 30 games played over the course of the three days of the Multimodal exhibition. A daily ‘leader board’ will record the best scores, with the overall winner being invited to the prestigious UKWA Annual Awards & Luncheon at The Dorchester Hotel, London in July to receive the winner’s trophy from Lord Digby Jones.
“Logistics needs to recruit the best young people to meet the challenges faced in our changing industry,” says Peter Ward, CEO of UKWA. “We hope that this fun competition at Multimodal will encourage the logistics community to reach out to young people and inspire them to become the future of our sector.”
Places are now being booked for the UKWA Multimodal Challenge. Closing date for entries is Friday 17 April 2015. To enter, please email info@ukwa.org.uk as soon as possible
