Our invitation to ‘big players’ in global supply chains

Posted in: Business, Other

Are you ~ or do you know ~ household names involved in supply chains around the world?Would you/they like to feature in the new ‘Global edition’ of Business on the Move, planned for publication later in 2017 following the success of our initial UK-centric game?

An integral dimension of our educational supply chain game, Business on the Move, is that sponsors appear as themselves in the game e.g. DP World will feature as the ‘Sea terminal’, DHL will be one of the four ‘Company Bases’ and CHEP will supply pallets.

With sponsors already in place representing a cross-section of logistics operations and services, the final spaces to be filled on the new Global game board are those featuring “Customers”.

These spaces are the focus of players’ deliveries in the game consisting of two broad groups:

  1. Overseas or global retailers from around the globe. This might be a retailer in one country, established in one continent or, perhaps, all over the world. The ideal scenario is for our game board to represent a mixture of overseas retailers to achieve a truly Global edition that reflects the diverse world we live and trade in.
  2. Well-known global brands recognised by (young) people all over the world. These may be global brands of everyday products such as clothes, electrical goods, food, household items, phones and toys but also corporate brands well known in sectors such as construction or manufacturing.

Our vision is that, wherever the game is played, the players know some of the businesses featuring in the game. Stimulated by the enjoyment and curiosity that comes from playing the game, young people can subsequently find out about those they do not know through the support materials on the Business on the Move website.

Featuring a global brand in a ‘Customer’ space costs just £2,000 per space(excluding vat). The sponsor becomes an active part of the game, receiving / despatching deliveries.

    • The company logo will feature on the game board.
    • Corporate branding also appears on four associated Order cards used in the game.
    • The logo will be included in the “Guide” accompanying the game and on the Business on the Move website.
    • The organisation will also receive 10 complimentary games. Two thirds of the sponsorship we require is in place and we aim to raise the other third by the end of July, 2017. If you would like to know more, just email pat@businessonthemove.org.
