Regarding Business on the Move as ‘just a good board game’ would miss the bigger picture. The game serves as a ‘platform for learning’ about business and the supply chain.
Exercises featuring our sponsors, using real-life examples from their own businesses, will enable young people to find out more about what organisations do and how they do it. Schools with three games will be able to download these activities free of charge from the Business on the Move website.
Some 50 linked activities are planned to come on stream by the end of 2014.
Most of the activities will be quite brief and versatile, perhaps being used to introduce a session or to provide a specific example of a concept.
Some activities will lend themselves to primary schools, some to secondary schools, some to colleges and training providers, and some will be suitable for all age groups.
Some activities might relate to a particular subject, such as Maths or English, while others will be of a more general appeal.
The style of activities will vary enormously, enabling most teachers and trainers to find activities that suit their learners, whatever their age and ability.
We welcome suggestions from teachers and trainers about the types of exercises or tasks they would like to see. Simply post your idea as a comment below or tweet us your idea. The best one will win a free game!
