On Friday, April 28, full-time students on the MSc in Supply Chain and Logistics played Business on the Move for the first time at the University of Warwick.
Four games were running at once with teams of 2/3 plus the Banker.
The game started around 09:30 and played right through until 12 noon.
According to Dr Chris Page, Senior Teaching Fellow, “The students loved it!! Great energy. I have never seen them so full of beans on a Friday lunchtime!”
Great feedback came from the students as well. They answered ‘YES’ to introducing to the module from the new academic year and recommended more time. Chris is therefore thinking about playing Business on the Move for a half a day, eminently feasible with seven levels available for progression. In addition, Chris is also considering setting an assignment question based on the learning outcomes from the game.
This echoes a workshop run last year at the University of London where postgraduates playing Business on the Move were challenged to identify strategies that gave a competitive advantage in global supply chain operations.
